Indiana
Company Promotes New Technology
Hardin
Geotechnologies, an Indiana-based company, has developed
the Geothermal Utility Return Line (GURL), which utilizes
existing potable water from the local water company as the
water source for the loop in a GeoExchange system. With
the GURLsystem, "used" potable water is returned
to the water utilitys plant, where it passes through
final treatment and testing a second time. With GURLsystem,
the initial first cost for installing GeoExchange system
may become less expensive. The system is being installed
in a community in Oklahoma.
